CP Unite is well-established and is providing such useful input, and we now have both a group of adolescents with cerebral palsy (called CP-Voice) and a Parent Advisory Group.

CP-Achieve December Bulletin 2021
People with lived experience have become involved with all of our projects and new advisory groups formed, papers have been written, podcasts produced, an enormously successful symposium conducted and new PhD students recruited.

CP-Achieve Bulletin October 2021
This month we welcome a new PhD student, Jacinta Pennacchia. Her topic will address a significant gap in our knowledge and practice, the mental health of young people with cerebral palsy. She will be working closely with our other mental health projects building our work in this important area.

Congratulations to Lyndal Hickey who has become an Associate Investigator on our team. Lyndal is working on a number of projects for CP-Achieve and several of her social work students have recently provided, under her supervision, valuable input to the Adolescent Advisory Working Group.

CP-Achieve August Bulletin 2021
The work of CP-Achieve continues and our team of investigators, students and staff are working incredibly hard and with great enthusiasm. Congratulations to Nora Shields on funding from the VicHealth Impact Research Grants program to support her work to increase physical activity for young adults with disability.

It is exciting to have two new PhD students join us – Nadine Smith and Jacqueline Ding. Our team of PhD students is growing and is already making a great contribution. There are also further opportunities for consumer engagement and for participation in research studies detailed in this bulletin.

CP-Achieve May Bulletin 2021
In this edition, we are continuing to recruit to build increased consumer involvement in CP-Achieve. CP-Unite, our team of young adults aged 17-30 years, is doing amazing work in guiding the research agenda, and the regular meetings are extremely productive. We are now inviting parents, adolescents and adults to work with us on projects and working groups and your help would be appreciated if you have time to assist. Mentors are also required to support young people as research partners and mentoring is a wonderful way to grow personally and professionally.

CP-Achieve Newsletter March 2021
We are all looking forward to the Symposium which has been rescheduled to 17 and 18 June, so that people can attend the European Academy of Childhood Disability meeting in May (virtually). The CP-Achieve Symposium will be a joint initiative with the Australasian Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine and will have the theme “Collaborate, Innovate, Achieve”.
