If you are a parent of a young person with cerebral palsy and have about one hour a month to contribute, we would love to hear from you. CP-Achieve, a Centre of Research Excellence at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, is a team of national and international researchers and young people aged 10-30 years with cerebral palsy, their families, clinicians, and students. Together we are dedicated to research to help young people with cerebral palsy live full, rewarding and healthy lives.
At CP-Achieve we involve parents and carers of young people with cerebral palsy through our Parent Advisory Group. Parents and carers in our advisory group contribute advice and insights from their life experiences to help define our research to ensure it is relevant, accurate and responsive to the priorities of their young people and their families.
We are very keen to hear from parents and carers representing the many genders, ages, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, abilities, religions and sexual orientations within the cerebral palsy community. Compensation of $40 per hour is provided via a gift card.
If you think you may be interested in joining our Parent and Carer Advisory group please contact Carolyn Pinto, Consumer Coordinator, CP-Achieve Carolyn.pinto@mcri.edu.au
