John Carey

John is a physiotherapist and PhD candidate studying through the University of Melbourne. He has worked clinically as a physiotherapist for the past 8 years in Ireland, Australia, the UK and New Zealand. He has strong interests in the areas of assistive technology, capacity-building skills and physical activity for young people with cerebral palsy.⁠

His PhD topic will focus on supporting cycling opportunities for young people with disability and their wider support network. He will be affiliated to CP-Achieve as a Research Associate and hopes to champion knowledge translation, participation focused-approaches and partnerships in health, sport and disability sectors through his research.
