Darryl Sellwood
Dr Darryl Sellwood completed his PhD in 2019 at Flinders University. His research investigated the experiences of people with Complex Communication Needs in romantic and sexual relationships. Dr Sellwood has complex communication needs and uses an AAC device. As a computer science graduate with experience in the telecommunications field, he has a broad perspective on both user and technical issues. He currently works part time as a Scholarly Fellow at Flinders University, as part of a panel reviewing curriculum in the Disability Studies discipline. His post-doctoral research project was investigating the lived experiences adults with disabilities had during the COVID-19 pandemic who receive support from the NDIS to live in shared or independent accommodation. He recently became the chairperson of AGOSCI and is a research associate with CP-Achieve.
