Carolyn Pinto
Carolyn is the CP Achieve Consumer Coordinator for parents and families. Carolyn has worked across the Departments of Health, Health and Human Services and Families, Fairness and Housing in both acute health and human services policy and program design, program implementation and management. Her recent roles involve policy and programs that support the interface between the child and family services sector and the National Disability Insurance Scheme. In these roles she managed a range of policy and program initiatives to support vulnerable children and families with disability and prevent child protection responses to children with disability.
Carolyn is passionate about the consumer voice in program design and research and initiatives to support families with disability. She is the mother of a young person with disability and volunteer Secretary of the Hemispherectomy Foundation Australia, a peer-led organisation to support families of children who have undergone hemispherectomy brain surgery.
